The Accident

I didn't draw it.

For 's coloring book contest.

I really like Rembrandt's contrast (and also the smoothness of some of his paintings). I wanted to do something similar to some of his stuff. (...but it's probably not very easy to see that)

I started it around the beginning of last month, and then... Well, with moving and just not feeling like doing anything, I almost just left it. But, then I worked on it more during the past three days. I did almost leave it forever sitting unfinished on my computer. ...it's kind'a messy. but I don't really feel like working more on it. I would've gotten rid of the border line, but I apparently merged that layer with the bg in November, possibly accidentally, or maybe because I thought I'd redo the bg later.

Anyhow, I was mainly inspired by The Night Watch and The Storm on the Sea of Galilee (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_…. And this is the coloring book page: www.coloring-book.info/colorin…

(edit: thought I might should mention, when I went to find some screenshots for ref, I realized the sisters were lit up in the movie in this scene (from a window) already. ...So maybe that was what led me to choose this page. I still wanted to try doing what I'd thought of, though. (screenshot) )
