A parable of broken branches
We are like branches on a tree. And sin is like something that breaks the branches. A branch can break from many things: maybe weight, or high wind, or freezing rain, or a creature gnawing through the branch. But, whatever the cause is, it still leads to the branch being disconnected from the tree. The branch has no way of reconnecting itself. It can only lie there and die of thirst. God is like a gardener, who carefully trims the branch and reattaches it to the tree, wrapping it so that it will not fall off again. And faith is like the reattached branch reaching for the water in the tree. If the branch reaches for the water, it will live, strengthen, and grow together with the tree. But if the branch doesn't reach for the living water of the tree (no matter what the Gardener does for it), it will still suffer of thirst, wither, and die.

A Different View of the Future
A Danny Phantom oneshot. It was only several months ago he’d been in that portal accident. But despite still being new with his ghost powers, he was learning quickly. He’d been able to keep up with every ghost he’d come across so far. That was why these new ghosts were so strange. They seemed more powerful. More advanced. As though they didn’t quite fit. But maybe if he could figure out the strange medallion one of them had left behind… The next thing he knew, he was in a ghost lair resembling a large clock tower, a powerful ghost telling him he had to be stopped before he destroyed the world in the future—that he was too much of a threat to survive. But he got away, diving into the future and away from the ghost. The future he found himself in was an even worse situation. Was that him? Hovering in the air above a frightened crowd, a cape flowing behind him, having blue skin, with a goatee, and muscles he could only dream of? Threatening not only the town, but the whole world?
