I've been on tumblr a lot lately. Mainly just posting random junk there. Mostly unfinished Danny Phantom ideas.

There was this Danny Phantom AU-themed fanzine thing I'd tried applying to draw/write something for, but I hadn't made it. However, I'd thought up a few ideas for that, so I thought I'd go ahead and draw something, just because I want to. ...But which idea should I draw?

Anyone on here want to vote for what I'll draw?

First pick a number for the idea you think sounds most interesting:

1. A reversed portal AU. What if the portal had fused ectoplasm with the world around Danny instead of Danny himself? Semi-melty walls, townspeople with floating hair and glowing eyes. Danny’s the only one who notices, and, though it freaks him out at times, he can’t mention it to anyone. Everything in town secretes ectoplasmic energy. The higher the level of that energy, the stranger the town becomes.

2. An evil future human-side!Dan AU. In "The Ultimate Enemy" episode, what if it had been Danny’s human side that had turned evil after Vlad ripped the ghost out of him? So it’s Dan Fenton who’s decimating the Ghost Zone with his powerful ecto-weapons, as well as paying the occasional visit to Amity Park. With his inherited knack for inventions, he and his huge ecto-guns might be even more dangerous than the Phantom in the original episode. Maybe Valerie has switched to trying to protect the ghosts of the Ghost Zone from him.

3. It's not exactly an AU, and it's from an existing unedited ficlet, but... I thought it had some cool scenes. (a.) A fight between newly-halfa Vlad Plasmius and present Vlad Plasmius. (b.) Danny's following Clockwork through a hallway of 'mirrors' (actually caused by reality warping within this hallway).

4. Ghost!Lancer AU. What if Mr. Lancer is actually a ghost named The Lancer? His main power is an energy lance that has some kind of special effect when piercing someone, and he had once been Princess Dora’s teacher, before leaving the Kingdom in search of literature and exploration - and more teaching opportunities. (If this is picked, I'd probably draw a quiet scene with him tutoring Dora.)

5. Portal works too well AU. What if the portal worked when the Fenton parents first tried it, and now there’s harmless ghosts everywhere. Danny just has to live with a bunch of ghosts packed in his house. (They're probably non-humanoid ghosts.)

I haven't been doing much art-related stuff for the past several months. I guess I should get back into things...

Been thinking about working on some fic ideas, but it's complicated. It's like... "Hm, I think I would like to work on one of my fic ideas." All of my fic ideas: "Me! Pick me!" And then when I finally pick a specific one (and ignore the random stuff that keeps reminding me of my other ideas) and start reacquainting myself with that one fic (looking over my notes, watching some episodes or movie), I end up feeling like it's exhausting work and I stop.

(I think, over the past month or so, I had decided to work on a specific fic at least three or four different times without really writing anything for either of them before getting discouraged.)

Also, in other news, a few weeks ago I had an idea of buying some rollerblades/inline skates and skating around my neighborhood. I'd kinda just realized that biking and skating counts as exercise, and they're things I had actually liked doing (back when I used to have a bike and rollerblades when I was younger), unlike walking and jogging and using boring exercise machines. If exercise is fun, then I might actually do it!

I had thought that I was pretty good at skating when I was younger, but when I got the new skates in the mail, my legs were shaky and I'm still not very good at stopping or turning after a little over a week of having them. I think part of the problem is that they're too large, so I'm waiting for a smaller pair to come in the mail, but I still need to figure out how to turn and stop before going out into the neighborhood where there won't be many objects to grab ahold of. I need to be more secure with them. Stopping is a bit hit-or-miss so far, while I just cannot figure out a basic turn, at all. The skates just want to keep going straight ahead, no matter how much I wave my arms in a different direction, the way all the video tutorials say to do.

Anyhow, I'll try to remember to come by this site more often and upload some deviations. (Not sure how many people will even see this journal, though. The way Eclipse handles the message center makes it harder to see new journal entries. Even though I keep going through the extra steps in order to see all the messages at once, I don't always notice journals.)

Well, I guess Eclipse is DeviantArt, now.

...I think I'm kind of okay with it now? I donno, now that the old site's gone, I feel semi-excited in a way. New start and all that (probably best to think of Eclipse as a new website, which has some similarities to dA - less heartbreak that way). Thought I'd try adding a profile picture banner thing, updating my 'about' information, and change my avatar icon (since the old one of Anakin looked kind of fuzzy when blown up on my profile).

Also, though when I first tried exploring Eclipse I had trouble figuring out the notifications stuff, now it doesn't seem as complicated. Not sure if something was adjusted or if I'd just figured out what I need to click. But it looks like it's all there, in the same order, now. When clicking 'watch' and then 'all' from the sub menu bar, it shows the first half (watched deviants' deviations, group deviations, journals, polls and status updates), and when clicking the bell it shows the second half (comments, replies, faves activity, group acceptance notes). I think I'm okay with it like that. It's a little large, but as long as it's all there, it's okay.

I've also calmed down some since freaking out about seeing a blank page when trying to upload writing. Sorry if I've worried some people.

It sounds like they're working on trying to include more options to the editor, and it does have some of the basics in the mean time. I'd explored the editor in more detail in this deviation, which I might update later with more info and some screenshots (if it feels stable enough to do so). I'm also planning on testing it some more by uploading a chapter of one of my fanfictions.
